The Droid Bionic Task Manager

The Droid Bionic Task Manager app is found in the apps list. Its main interface is shown in this figure. You see all currently running phone apps displayed, along with trivial information about each one: the CPU item shows how much processor power the app is consuming, and the RAM item shows how much storage the app takes up.

If you want to get your hands dirty with some of the things behind the scenes on Droid Bionic, then Task Manager is the app for you. However, it is not for everyone
You can use the task manager to kill tasks that are taking up a lot of CPU time or memory or that are crowding your sofa. As shown in the figure, touch the items you want to kill and then touch the End apps button. Applications are silently turned off.
A neat feature in Task Manager is the auto-exit menu. When apps are assigned to this list, they automatically exit two minutes after the display times out. To add apps to the list, select them from the main screen and touch the “Add to auto-quit” button at the bottom of the screen.
There is no need to stop an app that has been flagged as ‘not working’.
Task Manager does not delete applications; It just keeps them from running. To delete an app, use the Android Market.
The Android operating system does an excellent job of managing apps. If resources are needed for another app, Android automatically closes any open apps as needed. There is no need to trade with the task manager, unless you just enjoy fiddling with such a thing.
