After receiving a question from the public about R350 grant resumption delays, the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) responded via Twitter.

“In terms of the appeal, we have struggled a bit with regulations in line with legislative requirements such as the POPI Act. But soon it will be approved and resolved,” Sassa tweeted.

Applicants are encouraged to be patient as the Agency does everything in its power to ensure that Sassa grant payments are made to those in need.

Here’s How To Submit A Reconsideration Request Online

  • Click here to visit the SRD Website.
  • Scroll down to the ‘Application for Reconsideration’ tab.
  • Select ‘Click here to apply for reconsideration’.
  • Fill in your ID number and mobile number.
  • Follow the prompts to complete the reconsideration of the grant.

Applicants have 90 days to appeal after receiving a rejected application according to new rules issued by SASSA.
